The NHS has publicized a leaflet containing standard guidelines on reducing the risk of cot death in newborns. Please remember that the risk is very low and that cot death is rare, so please don’t let worry stop you enjoying your baby’s first few months! But remember also that since parents and carers have been following the risk reduction advice, the number of cot deaths has fallen by over 70%.
